The same flower was taken here at subsequent times. A leftwarding flower is quite uncommon to me, as my subjects are generally oriented to the right. Here things went differently. But now I feel a sort of strength in the flower, as if it were standing fiery against winter and snow, with the white petals enhanced by the bold leaf in the background.
Of course I did not think about this all when I was working at the plate, but maybe it couldn’t appear so strong if by chance it were not turned this way.
